The Maxxis Rekon Race is a high-speed cross-country tyre designed for riders who want maximum efficiency on dry and hard-packed trails. As one of the fastest tyres in the Maxxis XC range, it features a semi-slick tread pattern with low-profile knobs that minimise rolling resistance while maintaining reliable traction.
Built for modern XC racing and fast trail riding, the Rekon Race performs exceptionally well on dry terrain and short-track courses where speed and acceleration matter most. The tyre is available with durable casing options and features Maxxis’ Dual Compound rubber for an ideal balance of grip and longevity.
For added durability on demanding trails, select models include EXO sidewall protection, helping guard against cuts and abrasions. Wide Trail (WT) versions are optimised for wider rims, delivering improved tyre profile and performance on rims with approximately 30mm internal width.
Many versions are also Tubeless Ready (TR), allowing riders to run lower pressures for improved traction and puncture resistance.
