1. Introduction

Olympic Cycles (Pty) Ltd ("Olympic Cycles", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to conducting business in a transparent, responsible, and lawful manner.

This Promotion of Access to Information Act ("PAIA") Manual has been prepared in accordance with Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000, as amended ("PAIA"), and takes into account the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

The purpose of this Manual is to explain the categories of records held by Olympic Cycles and to provide members of the public with information on how to request access to records where such access is required for the exercise or protection of any rights.

This Manual also provides information regarding the processing of personal information in accordance with POPIA.

2. Purpose of this Manual

This Manual is intended to assist customers, suppliers, employees, service providers, regulatory authorities and members of the public to:

  • Understand how to request access to records held by Olympic Cycles.

  • Identify the categories of records maintained by the company.

  • Understand the procedures applicable to requests made under PAIA.

  • Understand how Olympic Cycles processes and protects personal information.

  • Obtain the contact details of the Information Officer.

  • Understand the rights available under PAIA and POPIA.
