Unlike traditional gravel wheels adapted from road designs, Zipp applies its Total System Efficiency (TSE) philosophy specifically to gravel riding. Rough terrain creates energy loss through constant vibration, but the 303 XPLR SW combats this with an ultra-wide rim profile that increases air volume and allows significantly lower tire pressures—without instability.
The result is a smoother ride, improved traction when climbing, better grip in corners, and reduced rider fatigue over long distances. At the same time, the wide and deep rim shape integrates seamlessly with approved gravel tires, delivering outstanding aerodynamic efficiency.
