???? What the specs mean
Size: 25m x 28mm
- 25 meters long → enough for multiple wheel builds
- 28 mm width → suited to many modern MTB rims (especially ~25–27 mm internal width)
???? Always match tape width to your internal rim width (usually +2–4 mm wider than the rim’s internal measurement).
Coverage claims (slightly inconsistent—here’s the reality)
- “Enough for 12 x 29er wheels”
- “Enough for 20 29er wheel sets”
These two don’t line up. Realistically:
- A 29er rim typically uses ~2–2.5 m of tape (depending on overlaps)
- So 25 m roll = roughly:
- 10–12 individual wheels, or
- 5–6 full wheelsets
???? The “20 wheel sets” claim is almost certainly marketing exaggeration.
Ease of use
- “Shapes to rim profile easily”
→ Tape is flexible enough to conform to:- Deep channels
- Hookless or hooked rims
- Helps avoid air bubbles and poor sealing
Compatibility
- “Fits all modern rims”
→ Works with:- Tubeless-ready MTB rims
- Most gravel and some road rims (if width matches)
???? When this is a good choice
- You build or maintain multiple bikes
- You want one roll for repeated use
- You’re setting up tubeless tires at home
⚠️ What to watch out for
- Make sure 28 mm is the right width for your rims
- Apply with proper tension and overlap (usually 1–2 full wraps)
- Clean the rim bed before applying, or it won’t seal well
⚖️ Bottom line
It’s a solid, no-nonsense tubeless tape roll—good value if you’re doing multiple setups. Just ignore the inflated coverage claim and expect around 5–6 full 29er wheelsets per roll in real-world use.
