The Crankbrothers Eggbeater 1 is an entry-level clipless MTB pedal system known for its extremely simple, lightweight “spring cage” design. Instead of a traditional platform, it uses a compact 4-sided mechanism that lets you clip in from any direction.
It’s designed mainly for XC, gravel, trail, and cyclocross riders who want easy entry, low weight, and strong mud clearance.
