The Maxxis Severe 29x2.25 EXO TR is a purpose-built XC race tyre designed specifically for wet and muddy conditions. Unlike typical fast-rolling XC tyres, the Severe focuses on maximum traction, mud clearance, and control when trails get sloppy.
Its widely spaced, spiky tread pattern is engineered to shed mud quickly, preventing clogging and maintaining grip in conditions where most tyres lose performance. Combined with the MaxxSpeed compound, it still rolls efficiently while delivering impressive traction on wet roots and loose terrain.
The tyre features a 120 TPI race casing with EXO sidewall protection, offering a balance between lightweight performance and added durability against cuts and abrasions. It’s also Tubeless Ready (TR), allowing lower pressures for improved grip and fewer punctures.
