 What it is

A backup safety strap (tether) that connects your rear bike light or radar unit to the bike, so it doesn’t get lost if it comes loose from its mount.

It’s mainly used with radar tail lights (the type that detect cars behind you and also act as a rear light).

 How it works

???? “Adds an extra layer of security”

  • If your light pops off the mount (bumps, vibration, crash, etc.)
  • The tether keeps it attached to the bike instead of dropping onto the road

???? Think of it as a “safety leash” for your light

???? “Adheres directly to the back of compatible devices”

  • It sticks onto the back of your radar/light unit (usually via adhesive pad or bracket)
  • Then loops or clips to your seatpost mount or bike frame

⚖️ “Compact and lightweight”

  • Very small and doesn’t add noticeable weight
  • Designed not to interfere with:
    • Mounting system
    • Radar function
    • Light visibility

???? Pros

  • Prevents expensive device loss
  • Adds peace of mind on rough roads or gravel
  • Very light and unobtrusive
  • Easy installation
  • Works in the background without affecting performance

⚠️ Cons

  • Adhesive may need replacement over time
  • Only useful if your device is already properly mounted
  • Slight extra clutter around seatpost area
  • Doesn’t prevent impact damage—only loss

???? Bottom line

This is a simple but smart insurance accessory for cyclists using rear radar lights.

It doesn’t improve performance—it just ensures that if your device gets knocked loose, it stays attached to your bike instead of disappearing on the road.
