????️ What it is
This is a standard 20-inch BMX/kids bike one-piece (Ashtabula) crankset.
It combines:
- Left crank arm
- Right crank arm
- Bottom bracket axle
…all forged into a single steel unit that spins in a threaded cup-and-ball bottom bracket.
???? Key specs (simplified)
???? 20-inch bike use
- Designed for BMX bikes, kids’ bikes, and simple cruisers
- Longer crank length than 16” versions for better leverage
⚙️ 51.5 mm “American” bottom bracket
- Standard US/Ashtabula OPC shell size
- This is the most common OPC standard for 20” bikes
- ❗ Not compatible with 43 mm shells or modern cartridge systems
???? W/O pin (no cotter pin system)
- “Without pin” means:
- No drive-side alignment pin required
- Uses modern cotterless-style OPC retention
- Simpler and more common on newer budget bikes
???? Steel one-piece construction
- Very strong and impact-resistant
- Forged “S-shape” design (classic Ashtabula style)
- Heavy, but extremely durable for BMX-style abuse
???? Where it fits best
Bravvos designed this for:
- 20” BMX bikes
- Kids’ bicycles
- Basic cruisers
- Low-cost repairs and replacements
⚠️ What matters most (compatibility)
Before buying, you must confirm:
- ✔ Frame uses 51.5 mm OPC (American) bottom bracket shell
- ✔ Bike is one-piece crank compatible (not square taper or cartridge)
- ✔ No need for a cotter/pin retention system
- ✔ Chainline matches your current setup
???? Bottom line
This is a standard, tough, budget BMX-style crankset. It’s not performance-oriented, but it’s extremely common, easy to replace, and built to survive rough use—as long as your frame is the correct 51.5 mm OPC standard.
