Compatibility
Important: Mineral oil and DOT brake fluid are not interchangeable. Use this product only with braking systems specifically designed for mineral oil. Shimano and other mineral-oil systems require mineral oil, while DOT-compatible systems require the specified DOT fluid.
For example, Millennium also sells a separate DOT 5.1 brake fluid specifically for DOT braking systems, confirming that the two fluid types should be treated separately.
