Whether you are out to shred trails on your all-mountain bike or looking to shave some time off your next marathon race, a Contour dropper post will improve your ride.
The Contour External V.20 is our updated external dropper post. The biggest improvement on this version is that the cable now enters in to the collar of the lower assembly rather than routing up to the head of the post. This means that cable routing is much easier and neater as the cable remains stationary whilst the dropper is being used.
What lever is best for me?
See the diagram in the image section for reference.
Under bar lever: This is our under bar lever that is suited to bikes with a 1X (single chainring up front) drivetrain. The lever sits in the position where the front shifter would have been and mimics the thumb action of a shifter. Note: some new lockout levers are positioned here, in this scenario use an over bar lever.
Over bar lever: This lever works best for bikes with 2X or 3X drivetrains where a front shifter is still used on the handlebar. This can be run on the left or right of the handlebar and works with nearly every setup.
Will it work with my setup?
Please ensure you have a 27.2mm seat tube before proceeding. Measure your exposed seat tube dimension, if it is between 183mm and 269mm then the 27.2 x110mm is compatible with your setup. See the size chart and technical documents sections below for more info.
