Tubeless tyres have been a revolution in the sport of cycling, offering a myriad of benefits such as more traction thanks to the ability to run lower pressures, weight saving as well as avoiding pinch flats.

However, to seat the tyres on the rim they need to be rapidly inflated either via C02 cartridges or compressors. Compressors can prove expensive and aren’t useful to carry around due to their weight and the fact that they need power to run.

C02 cartridges work perfect, but the costs can add up as well as the fact that precious resources are used up (Metal for the cartridges, transport of them, recycling of them if you even do recycle them)

The solution then? A pump that requires no power or C02 cartridges and is portable enough to simply chuck in the car when you’re travelling.

These pumps simply work by inflating a chamber, where air is stored under pressure. Then you simply attach the pump to your tyres, release, and your tyres inflate and seat on the rims in no time!

The Giant Control Tank requires an external foot pump which many of you may already own. If you don’t, the Ryder Air Tank and Bontrager TLR Flash Charger come with a pump to pressurise the chamber.
