Cape Town Cycle Tour 2018 News You Need To Know

The Cape Town Cycle Tour 2018 is a much anticipated one as we have skipped a year due to winds that made it impossible to ride.

As David Bellairs said “In the 40 years of the Cycle Tour we have had only 3 years of severe wind. This year we were incredibly unfortunate”

The good news is that every rider who entered and registered for the 2017 Cape Town Cycle Tour by collecting their race pack at the Cape Town Cycle Tour Expo will receive a preferential entry prior to general entries opening. Entry fees for these riders will remain fixed at 2017 rates.

The start line of the Cape Town Cycle Tour has also moved from its traditional position at Hertzog Boulevard to the Grand Parade Precinct.

We’re looking forward to the changes for 2018, and looking forward to a gale force free ride!

As is the case every year, we are extremely busy in the weeks prior to the race and we recommend that all clients book their bike services well in advance to avoid disappointment. Every year we have clients walking in at the last minute looking to have their bikes fixed and we are unfortunately not able to help due to the huge amount of bikes are mechanics are dealing with.

Remember, if you book your bike in for a service online with us, we guarantee a 24 hour turn around time!
